Great they're my favorite fire starter because instant fire it's the flame you know but long term is what we're talking about when you're when you're talking about long term and and you lose you know the power grid uh technology and things like that you have to go primitive okay.

And we're gonna discuss that one of the first items i'd probably take is a ferro rod a big one biggest i could find this is a new one fire rod excel by exotec pretty cool product and you can unscrew and screw the rod here which i like so you can have multiple of these rods and screw in.

Here you have a large handle for gross motor skill if you're freezing you know something to grip onto um you have tape here this is the gorilla tape which is also a great fire starter as well it will catch flame and then inside here cap so you've got a few pieces of tinder and also that's like an emergency system.

There so i really dig that new piece of gear that they just came out with big rod uh that you can get a lot of sparks off of it'll last you for years and if you carry two or three i'm gonna last your lifetime the next thing is my primitive fire kit this is something i wear around my necks.

Always have it and inside of here i have a hudson bay 10 or tobacco 10 and you may think man this is crazy like i said when the grid goes and for a long time you have to go you have to go primitive right so what this hudson bay 10 does is that on top here we have a.

Magnifying glass so you can pull this part off here and use the sun rays which the sun comes out every day so that way you know we have sun to use a solar ignition source it's freezing out here so i can't really get it off right now because my hands but there's a magnifying glass here and.

You can you know use the sun's rays inside here we've got a flint and steel i've got a few pieces of fat wood here you know just something to have some stuff to make some char cloth and some char cloth here and you can make char cloth out of you know any kind of cotton fabrics you come.

Across so the reason why i choose something like this is because it's a renewable resource i can find quartzite this this piece of flint will last me a long time this steel is going to last forever and i can find quartzite and stuff like this this is also shaped into a spearhead so if i need to i can.

Attach it to a stick and kill an animal with if i need to so dual purpose but that's what i would definitely go with  wow  hopefully this information helps you consider.
