What's going on doggies welcome back to another video all right we've got to go get one big ass fire going because we're cooking inside a pumpkin most people cook with pumpkin but today we're cooking inside a pumpkin all right so here she is this thing has been traveling around australia with me it's probably been.

Sitting in the troopy for possibly about three to four weeks now and it is getting on my nerves man it's a huge pumpkin and it's just in the way every day so the challenge today is can we cook the big beautiful slabs of coral trout inside a pumpkin on a massive roaring fire that is the goal for the day so we've done this before we've done.

That we've done this similar similar method of cooking inside a watermelon and we've done it inside a coconut all right so cooking in that watermelon that was pretty bloody good it was effective it was alright it tasted pretty good cooking inside the um coconut my god that was a game-changing moment man that was actually possibly one of.

The best things most tasty things i've ever cooked while out in the bush so this is stage three cooking inside a big dirty pumpkin i reckon this is going to be the best tasting of them all i love the taste of pumpkin i don't know i always reckon this is going to be bomber but first we've got a whole lot of things to do we've got to start a fire.

I'm going to turn this thing into a pot i've got to hollow out the inside make a lid now i'm going to get a lot of stuff to do so let's go and get a big dirty fire going i'm just going to do a fire right where i'm sitting here get a fire going sit this pumpkin on the fire put some big juicy bits of fish in there a little bit of coconut cream we'll make.

Up a mixture and um i reckon it's going to be bloody good it's going to be interesting to see how long it takes if it even cooks but i'm willing to take this challenge let's go we'll start a big fire put the pumpkin on do this is how we're looking in the field day kitchen with a little bit of a fire.

Going here that thing is putting out some serious heat man that's bloody beautiful over here we've got our pumpkin which we're going to turn into a pumpkin pot so right now if i can get this thing out all we're doing is we're making a lid so i've just cut this funky shape out of it i'm going to make that as the lid open close inside i've got to.

Hollow out the whole entire thing that's going to turn into essentially that's just going to be a bloody cooking pot so while i stoke this fire up and i turn that pumpkin into a cooking pot i'm going to graze on the clips from a couple of days ago me and mac 10 we took out the tinny and we had one hell of a time we took it out in the roughest seas.

Mach 10 she got so seasick man feels so bad for us she got really seasick we um we got the spear guns out it was just one hell of a mission so i'm going to graze those clips on while i'm down here emptying out the pumpkins stoking the fire up and then i'll see you guys back around here and we'll see if you can actually cook inside this pumpkin enjoy.

That footage i'll see you around the campfire oh all right well here we are we're out here fighting the absolute elements trying to put a little bit of fish in a bloody pumpkin over the fire so i'm here with mac 10 she's on the front of the boat we've got raincoats on.

We've got safety gear ready we are getting absolutely pumped it is um not a nice day out here but you've got to be in it to win it and all we're going to do is get one fish on the deck to put inside this pumpkin so today is not a nice day out in the boat but it is bloody enjoyable i'll show you guys it's a little bit rough a little bit windy.

But hey you got to be in it doing it here we are we've got to lure out the back we're just slowly trolling it is windy it's choppy there's water going absolutely everywhere mac 10 is having a shower i'm having a shower.

It's rough it's windy it's epic all we're gonna do is wait for that rod just to start smoking and we'll be on come on big dogs  all right this is every fisherman's bloody dream we're just screaming along haven't had.

Too much action we've only been out for about half a hour and there is a massive big big it's like a football field full of birds just diving smacking smoking little baby bait fish that means there's going to be some bigger fish underneath that truck of earth so um we'll do a circle we'll troll around it then we'll.

Throw some lures into it look at all those birds having a feeding frenzy all right let's pull the pin okay what we're doing right now we're going to pull the pin on this mission it is getting extremely the wind is forecast just to stabilize the whole entire day and it's for sure it's.

Picking up it's got to be more than 20 knots right now i don't even know if you guys can hear me but we are way out off the mainland in a little baby boat and we're getting flogged so i think we're gonna pull the pin on this deep water fishing mission we're gonna head back into the inside of the reef see if we can get some spangled emperor or some.

Kind of fish in the shallower water because we're getting flogged and um i don't like coming out here with mucky when it's like this it just doesn't feel right so we're gonna head back in we're gonna troll the whole way back hopefully we pick up a big fish but just not safe out here anymore very rough.

Hey i think we need a bigger boat we're getting flogged out here   all right here we go a little bit of a change of plan so mach 10 has fallen victim to the one and only seasickness she was crook as a dog.

And um i don't blame her it's pretty it's pretty rough out here so i've just dropped her off up there at the boat ramp and you and me we're gonna go out in a solo mission all we need to do is catch a bloody fish stick it inside this bloody pumpkin and it's going to be mission complete but uh yeah it's pretty rough monkey was pretty.

Seasick so i dropped her off we're going to go stick on the inside of the roof we're going to have a play we're going to get out the noodle rod i haven't used the noodle rod in a long time so we'll get out the noodle rod see if we can get a fish up to south our sleeve but i've got about a 40 minute punch up the coast in this shitty weather so um.

It's gonna be a wet and bumpy ride but i absolutely live for this right now so let's go i love it i'll live for it look at it ah all right we're getting absolutely dusted right now this is a good this is a really good fish oh look at this this is not.

Absolute i'm going to lose this fish it's going to go into the um oh i need to chase it this is a good fish i've got the engine on we are running the world's lightest line right now and this is a really good fish without driving the boat i will not get this.

Fish in what is this this is a good fish man this it is just absolutely schooling me i've got no idea what it is it's staying really deep this is hectic come on what are you please stay on i've got like i think my leader is like four it's eight pound leader so it's.

Very very very light there's rocks coming up here please don't come up all right there's a big big big patch of rocks here no no no no it's going straight for the rocks oh god there's a big bombie right there stay out stay out of the bombing please.

Stay out of the bottle come on stay out stay out now that was incredible that was a really really really big fish that's possibly probably out there with one of the better fish i've ever caught on the noodle rod been chasing her we've been chasing it.

Around this sandy water for so long and if you can see just in the background over there i don't know if you can see but there's a big bomby it went straight for the bomb he took shelter and snapped us off damn that was a really really bloody good fish all right let's reload and do it all again that was psycho.

As soon as i put a new soft plastic on we've just got smoked again oh this is nowhere near as big as that last fish but this is this is a nice fish definitely not the donkey that we had before all right all right we're doing good we're doing good hello beautiful.

There it is this is the exact species that we are going for this little fella is way too small but that is the fish that i'm targeting right now beautiful looking beautiful eating fresh and gonna taste incredible inside a pumpkin if we can get a big one so they're here we just need to find mum and dad let's get this beautiful little baby back ah.

And we'll um see if we can get a bigger one see ya buddy off he goes oh wow what is this a little bit of a little bit of a fighter this one i'm the old noodle doodle i'll be happier come on.

Ah it is absolutely beautiful wow that's a nice fish come on mate get up here there we go there it is another beautiful emperor it's about twice the size of the one that we got before but he's going back because there's gonna be bigger ones for.

Sure he's a beautiful little one he put up a hell of a fight man if i get his mum or dad that's gonna make us absolutely scream let's get him back in the drink beautiful fish look at the colors in it they're such an amazing looking fish all right mate there you go.

See belle oh hey it's been a while but we're jumping in the water with a spear gun and i'll tell you guys why a few things have changed right now we've brought the boat in i've dropped the boat back in in another location.

Because i was getting absolutely flogged out there it was super windy mac 10 was sick as a dog in the car and um yeah we're back out here right now we're going to jump in with a spear gun see if we can get some fish to put inside this bloody pumpkin so mac 10 she is back out with me now i'm not giving up she's not giving up she reckons so she.

Was pretty sick before it's a lot calmer in here but it is still blowing like crazy so chuck a wetsuit on chuck the fins on get the spear gun ready and we're going to go see if we can plug a couple of fish chuck in this bloody pumpkin it's gonna be an all-round good time no matter what very windy eye.

All right let's go let's see if we can go get a fish for this bloody pumpkin here we go foreign so so  it's going straight into the pumpkin at this it's like 55.

That's so good it's beautiful fish too such a good eating fish oh go back down yeah good luck dude  so  so oh.

All right well that was a whole lot of fun i haven't been spearfishing for probably about two years i used to do it all the time and then when we got stuck in indo i stopped so it was good to get back in the water and we have two beautiful fish for the pumpkin well one fish is gonna go in the pumpkin the other one we're just gonna.

Eat because they are some of the most delicious fish so there is the first one we got that is a beautiful cold trout lovely lovely eating fish and then the last one is a big dog that's a big dirty cold trout lovely eating size fish.

So we've got two fish there and um they are probably up there with one of my favorite eating fish look at that quick little dive we made the right decision coming over this side eye old mate's not seasick we've got two beautiful fish one's going in the pumpkin and the other one we're just gonna eat and make crispy skinned coral.

Trout chips absolutely beautiful way to eat them so um that's it we're done let's go and cut a hole in this pumpkin start a fire and um see if you can actually cook fish in a pumpkin on a beach on a campfire ready yeah let's go oh see you guys around the fire oh.

That is looking absolutely incredible all right have a look at this this is so much fun man all right so what i'm gonna do i'm actually gonna use it like a camp oven while you guys have been watching that fishing footing fishing footage i.

Hope you guys enjoyed that what i've been doing here is um i'm going to use it like a camp oven i'm not going to give it an actual flame i'm just going to use these really hot bloody coals and this is the finished product this is our camping pot this is our pumpkin pot so you take the lid off and boost have a look at that mate that is a massive pot.

Inside so we can fit a whole lot of coral trout in there we've got a little bit of a lid going on here a couple of little hinges on the lid there just so it sits nicely you know it only goes one way so you've got to try to figure him out but puzzles are fun right not that way got.

To be this way there you go so those little sticks stop the lid from falling in boom now let's go over to my big dream troopy rig and um i've been busy in the backyard cutting up a little bit of stuff so this is the beautiful cold trout that you just saw me spear with the gun.

Beautiful white amazing flesh there about three cloves of garlic we've got a little bit of curry powder a little bit of coconut milk and that's it that is literally all i've got the troopy is pretty bare right now so this is all we need hold on a second we need to chuck that on there let's go over to the uh.

Good old campfire and start cooking this feast so the pumpkin is in place this is putting out some incredible heat man that is so hot so what we're just gonna do is take off our little little homemade lid we're gonna just dump in the coconut milk.

Then we grab our plate of goodness you better get off that fly you're going in get off fish is going in oh this is a disaster don't worry about it this is what happens in the bush right oh fish is in have a look at this man.

Oh my this is going to be incredible if it works right in guys a little bit of curry powder just to give it that that flavor you know flavor of the curry pumpkin curry if this works this is going to be absolutely incredible i reckon it'll work it's just going to take a while.

All right so we'll stir that up it's looking it's actually looking incredible punching out some serious heat we'll whack that little lid on and that's it's as simple as that i'm just going to let this thing sit and see how long it takes before that starts bubbling and boiling inside oh look at the sides but the sides is.

Already burning the sides of our pumpkin is already burning i don't know what that means if it's going to cook or not but right we're looking we're looking pretty good that looks incredible i wonder how long this is gonna take all right let the timer begin.

Well i guess there's not much more to do right now then sit back have a bloody beer and um all we can do is wait i'm just gonna be hanging out in the hammock and see how long this takes pretty excited about it actually look at this man then it falls and i just snap on the.

Ground oh yeah all right i'll see yous when the um pumpkin's done this is a good life ah alright alright while i'm sitting here swinging in this hammock i might as well give you guys some very very exciting.

News so we're gonna be dropping two videos a week every single week from now on so what we've done i've got the field days channel mac 10 has started a secondary channel on the back of my channel and it is called mucky and matt so this is a youtube channel which is going to show you guys the background of our lives pretty much what we do living.

Out of that troopy on the road 24 7 no home no kids just me and mac 10 in the bush every single day and we get up to some extremely crazy wild weird things that you guys never get to see so the plan is to bring you guys on those adventures so you guys get to see what we actually get up to living out of a car traveling around australia and um.

Waiting for our pumpkin to cook oh what a kill shot that was incredible next oh and again three times the charm three time times a charm oh way off.

You gotta be kidding well you didn't really think i was gonna sit in that hammock for that long did you i can't sit still for more than three minutes so we've got the bow and arrow out we're having a little bit of fun shooting beer cans i'm hitting them as quick as i'm drinking them no not really only had two.

Beers but this is super fun man i can do this day in day out and um look it has been about i i actually didn't check the time but i'm gonna guess that we have probably been that's been sitting on hot coals i've been regulating the heat for about four an hour and 45 and i've just checked it.

We're looking good check this out all right the issue is have a look at this it's been on for a bloody long time but what's interesting before we open it up is this is like super burnt right but look how soft look how soft it is the knife just goes in.

So that means that pumpkin is like fully cooked soft pumpkin meat on the bottom up here that doesn't go in so that's rock hard so the pumpkin's cooked on the bottom and what it does it obviously like look at it steaming i'm not too sure if you can see that.

Steam coming out but that is boiling hot see look at that i can't even i'll try to leave my finger in no that's boiling but anyway let's get a bit of this fish out and have a look at this look at that.

Beautiful white meat inside oh this is gonna be incredible i'm gonna get a spoon yo this is crazy man check this out you can actually pick up the pumpkin with a shovel and move it around but it's oh no but the bottom of it is like literally it's.

Like jelly it's pretty hot i can actually lift it so the whole entire bottom half of that pumpkin is like super soft like you put it in an oven and then this section here is like rock hard so this is incredible but this fish look at this.

It's cooked to absolute bloody perfection oh hot man i can't believe they're hot though oh wow that's incredible man i don't know what that's on par with the um coconut.

Mmm oh you have to try this but let's see if we can just get pure pumpkin like cooked pumpkin from the bottom look at that so that's pure that's the pumpkin that's cooked inside oh oh my god.

I think i've just started something here i wish i could put this through the bloody i wish i could just wedge this through the lens so you can you guys could try have a go at this i actually can't believe how good it tastes i want to get that pumpkin on the bottom man that's the business.

Look at that that's cooked pumpkin a little bit of fish you're kidding hmm game changer look that is 110 mission success that pumpkin tastes like nothing i've.

Ever eaten before it is incredibly bloody good we successfully cooked beautiful coral trout in a pumpkin on a fly on a fire it probably took about two hours to cook to be honest but it is incredibly bloody good you probably don't want to see me slurping that soup back anymore but it tastes bloody good you got to try it at.
