Hey guys blackout survival and today we're going to talk about a grid down medical kit and this is my grid down medical kit and it's pretty exhaustive I'm gonna try to go through everything and try to hit on why I have these items in there but if I forget something just drop a comment in the box below if I don't mention why I have something or.
Something like that you want more information I'll answer the question but basically this kid is the one I keep at home you know this is a higher level medical kit that's setting the I factor the one I keep in my vehicle like you know like a medic bag here and I'll go over this in the future too that's what I keep my car and or the I fact that I.
Actually keep my person but this is like ER in the bag it has capabilities to do many things now let me go and some of this clamor I'm not a licensed medical professional so seek out you know and from information from those people before you start doing anything but uh beyond that you need to look at when you build your kit and put it in gear that.
That reflects your skill level I see a lot of people's med kits on or trauma kits online and and they have items that I know that they're thinking no they don't know how to use or don't have the skill to know how to use and some people say well if somebody comes on and knows how to use it they can use it no I wouldn't suggest that either because you.
Are setting yourself up to get some I real hurt and somebody's saying they know how to do something they don't really know how to do it so have something to flex your skill level now this kit here being a green diamond okay it takes care of things from trauma all the way to anybody cut minor cuts so I'm going to go through everything that's.
Probably a two-part series because it's going to be a lot of equipment but let's go ahead start off in the front this this bag I'm not sure who makes it let's just add a green first responder bag I do know it's a designed for medical kits but don't remember the maker and because it is OD green and doesn't really lucky no kid I'll put this little med like.
Spartan medical symbol here on the front I have trauma shears in the molle webbing so in case I have to get to something cut it out quick I can pull those out in the I don't want to start here I'll start on the side the other side I have my tools and I have stethoscope here you know you check heart beating all that.
Kind of stuff I have a mercury none of mercury non mercury thermometer but it doesn't require batteries I'm not sure what the liquid in here is but so in case the grid goes down for a long time and I don't have capability to get new batteries for my electronic one and with my light trying to have also covers in case I'm helping other people and I.
Don't want to infect this I have a stream light micro stream light here pin light and you know you can check pupils and all that kind of stuff I have a sharp in casing the right sound like tourniquet time when somebody's forehead or whatnot I have bandage scissors I have a standard pin light.
That's most of the tools there have some prescription pain medication I have lip stuff Kanka lip chat X lip balm and a blistex lip balm and single-serve packets in case I need to hand it out with somebody and don't want to use my actual chats together I have tech new first stage yelling this stuff is awesome and has some a lot of.
Cane in it and so it numbs your cut scrape or burn or whatnot but it takes care of wide variety of things I think this cost about 10 bucks so it's a little on the pricey side but it's something great harvest it's the antiseptic so it cleans up a wound also have Biofreeze type you know pain relieving gel and some little cap.
Capsules of the stuff for stings and bites of insects have burned gels and burn pain relieving jails and stuff like that and that's this side on the outside pocket here have a couple packs of sterile gloves and and you know those are different than actual latex gloves it's non sterile because if you're going to some touching inside of somebody you.
Want to have sterile gloves so you're not contaminating the wound on a shoe I would come to the Sun just a second go ahead and hit this side on this side I have a million heylet's I have all types of medications you know like bear Advil you know pepto-bismol cough drops all kinds of stuff every every kind of medication you can think of I have it in.
This bag here to handle a wide variety of ailments and decongestant pills keep from you getting you know fluid in your lungs and stuff like that have a kit and have antibody eyedrops eye patches iPads all that kind of stuff I have some finger splints a couple different types of finger splints here in case you break some break your finger something like.
That I have a little container here that you actually take your waste fecal matter put in here and you send off to a doctor to get checked for you know Giardia Cryptosporidium in case you get any kind of funky sickness from drinking something battery and something bad a couple triangular bandages these things are great you can use these for a.
Wide running application slings dressings whatnot if things get bad and use a lot of stuff in your kit I have a couple packs of proton iodine swab sticks electro I'm sorry oral rehydration salts couple packs of these and this is good you know because dehydration will kill you kill you quick and these are good to have especially.
Because I don't know how to give an IV and I will never even attempt to us in comparing IVs that's absolutely crazy carry these you don't have to carry that you mix it up with some water how much just you know swab sticks and and tongue depressors here all right let's get into this okay guys this is pretty one of the cool sides.
This is a where this stitching suturing side and I let me get all this out first alright guys so in in the front pack here I have steri-strips and little iodine capsules and butterfly clothes rosanna kind of stuff so in case I don't want to have to actually do suturing this is a good alternative I have a couple different razor blades and these.
Are sterile blades you know for shaving lancing whatnot before you suture someone up or whatever you need to do lance something bunch of alcohol wipes and I have these things throughout the bag this is a surgical instruments kit and it's the military style you can see that good but in this kit I have a variety of forceps hemostats probes.
Dental probes I have a I have a tweezers here I have a scalpel handle up inside here I have a few different scalpel blades here to go with the scalpel handle I have bzk chloride wipes and these things are great because you can wipe down a wound prior to putting on butterfly closures or stair steps and.
They'll hold very well it kind of like gets the oil off the skin and more alcohol wipes then I have a wide variety of sutures I have monofilament style have silk and I have absorbable so I have a few different kinds for a few different methods and this is good because you know Zorba bulls you can if you have a.
Deep wound that needs a seat sir and you don't want to reopen it once it heals back to get the stitches out but that's the field surgical kit though they have is a suture removal training this is a sterile tray so whatever you do take the sutures out you're not contaminating this has you know scissors tweezers and some wipes in.
There I have different types of syringes and needles a whole nother bag full of syringes and needles and I have a local anesthetic here so in case you do do do something like suturing and that's all for that side this side if you're down here on the side pocket I have a whole stack of bzk wipes alcohol all types of prep pads.
Holes sack of those and a bunch of band-aids for minor cuts and abrasions and stuff like that most moleskin and a bunch of triple antibiotic ointments and stuff like that but guys we'll go ahead and wrap this video up because I want to make it to video so check out part two and if you like this video please subscribe and as always thanks for.
