what's going on guys black Scout survival here at blade start 2019 I'm here with Jeff a freeman of Freeman knives and he wants to talk a little bit about a few new knife offerings or line extensions as he said of some of his knifes sure thing.
So this is my button lock flipper people are very familiar with it I did some extensive testing and found a good carbon fiber with the right density no sleeve what it does is it takes about half of the weight away from the rest of it from like the the aluminum version the titanium version so if you fill that you can fill that it's really light in.
Your pocket although it's still 156 thousands thick blade so it's it's a good size tool but you don't really feel it cuz it's so light with that carbon fiber of course the pocket clips titanium I changed up the grind a little bit to give it a different look with the panels being ground and then the pocket clip is also polished it's.
More of a dressy this is one I've been carrying for a year now make sure to test it out it's going to work the other thing I have new is I've been making a 5 inch CPM 3v for a while but I changed it up a little bit with some new handle material this is brown burlap canvas micarta and then Freddie Ramos that Ramos custom leather sheath works made.
Me a custom sheet for it as well so it has a pocket for a small tin ferrocerium rod one of the cool things that Freddie does on his strap is it swings out of the way so you don't cut it when you put it back in and so you can slide that back up and put that on and there you have it also you can carry this horizontal Scout.
Style or vertical so that's a really nice package that he put together for me so yeah you got your fire making stuff you put a small survival ten there so you got fire survival gear the knife like when I first came up I felt it and I said it felt really light but the reality is it's just really that balanced set it the weight so.
Proportionate assist it feels really light so I mean it's a great looking knife very very clean design - yeah this is probably been my bestseller as far as the fixed blades go because it's not too big it's not too small as 3/16 thick it's fairly lightweight I wouldn't say it's a specific task it's not devoted to one thing as pretty exactly so sometimes.
When you do general-purpose you're not good at anything but that this was kind of hard to get you know but I think it does a pretty good job for a lot of different casts well those are beautiful I'll put his link to his website below so you guys can check that out you know thanks Jeff I appreciate taking the time.
