This is fly Scouts of Island today I'm going to show you how to wrap your hand around a knife got a few viewer requests to ask us to show you a demonstration on how to do this and basically this is the easy way to carry some extra paracord or make a comfortable grip on a skeleton knife this particular rapid is known as the figure eight wrap method and you.

Will need a true skeleton knife for this and what I mean by true skeleton knife is the center section needs to be hollowed out here so what you're going to do first off you need to determine how much pair of course you need instead of just cutting off a big section and wasting your paracord what I recommend you to do is take a section and just.

Wrap it around the knife just like this and since you cinch it down you know so you're not having gaps and then leave about six inches that you fully wrapped it and then cut there and you should have enough for the knife but this particular model I visit nas Alaska extreme model B and it's made for this type of care cord rat or a paracord.

Wrap so it has these two star holes here and if you don't have a c-store holes basically you're going to start with uh your paracord and the center of the knife and you're just going to lay it across right above where the hollow section stars but if you have this knot go ahead and insert this two pieces of cord in these holes here alright guys.

Like I said the extreme model V was designed for this so dis wrap so you have these two starter holes here if you don't have that you'll just wrap it around the actual knife so instead of going through these holes it will go around the knife so then what you're going to do is is you're going to take the paracord and you're going to wrap it.

Around here and wrap it around here just like this then you're going to come under on your left hand side and then go under on your right hand side cross on that pattern and you'll sanch just like that okay so and make sure you keep cinching down so what you'll do is wrap go underneath the loop bringing it up on the left hand side then go underneath on.

The right hand side and bring it up just like that and at first it'll look kind of weird but it'll pan out a few minutes so you going to take the left-hand side bring it up through the hole the center section of the hole and you're going to take the right-hand side bring up the center section of the hole and then.

Cinch down you can just make those neaten those out when you need to alright guys so we wrapped you know almost all the way down to the cords just to refresh you this figure eight wrap you're basically making a figure eight you're going to bring your left hand cord loose end through the hole and then you going to.

Bring your right in just like that okay so now you can you know go all the way up here but I usually stop about right there so I'll bring my cord is through this way and then I will bring my other section up through the hole as well but then all slide I'll just choose one another to bring through the lanyard hole and then I will tie my lanyard.
