Other thing is is not waterproof I wanted to come out with something that's gonna protect your most important gear which is your survival kit what we have here is a hard case and this is rated for submersion of 80 feet for 30 minutes without compromise of the internals and whatever you have inside you see the BSS crest right here it's black with a.

Locking just a single locking feature there has a lanyard so you can take it off lanyard to your body and stuff like that my personal kit that I carried while serving in the Marines and and after that I used the hardstyle cases like this like OtterBox in Pelican from my personal survival kit just to.

Protect my gear because early on in my career I used a 10 that I bought us it's just a survival kits what I carry and I smushed it all up so that's kind of why you know went to this this is you know tested in my my own life experiences and this is good and the size is very small so you can put in your pocket and stuff like that don't take up a lot of room.

You can see I can even put it there so opening the kit we have that single lapse feature there see the components on both sides the first thing you're gonna see is a world pack bag and the world pack is a good water storage device you can you know swing it close it and we have aqua tabs which is a chlorine type of.

Tent so we stuck it inside the ten so it back is adhesive so you can stick it to the inside of the kid if you want to but the problem is is that you always have to open up the kit to access this 3m okay so at night time you can take this out it's a very reflective from you know flashlight so it's my searching for you or searchlight this will reflect almost.

Like a signal mirror at nighttime so you can take it out and use it as a standalone piece you can put on your helmet and you know it's whatever you want to do you know what I mean are you just sticking in the lid what I do like is you could also just stick it to the outside of the container that way you are able to find it.

You stick it to the upside down part of it and that way you find it pretty easy so we have that and that that's the some signaling water purification moving on to the bag inside here what we have is we have a small black Scout whistle with keychain so you can attach it to a jacket or something like that or make a necklace lanyard out of it and this is.

Made a 6061 aluminum it's a very durable black Scout crest on there moving on to some fire making stuff we've got six wind and waterproof matches these are excellent with included striker we have a small fair cerium rod with a red cap this cap is a grip cap so it kind of acts as a handle and it's a pretty large rod and the Redcat wall so in case you.

Tool is important so you don't want to drop it the next thing we have is a hank of micro paracord has a lot of uses within the kit cordage is important you can make lanyards for your gear like your whistle compass the light put around your neck so you don't lose it you can use it with the combine snailed fishing line and hooks you can use it to.

Make a buzzsaw with the light and we'll kind of talk about that but you'll have some micro paracord for food gathering you'll have and gear up here you'll have some brass snare wire this snare wire can be used to make you know like squirrel traps rabbit traps stuff like that small game you can make a squirrel stick where you know where they run up.

The tree using that we've got a the lanyard compass this is something we sell in our stores the good pieces of gear we used to only put the button compass in the old kit but the problem is you trying to keep up with that thing navigation is a serious item to have you know a serious issue most people get lost is how they get in.

A survival situation you want to make sure that you have a good compass and you're not going to lose it so land you're you putting your jacket you may can side of it then we have the black scout photon to light the photon to has a constant on feature so you turn it on we have a red lens light a few reasons why.

We have used red over anything else is because one it protects your night vision went in the field and you may say well if I'm lost or you know I'm not in the military why would that be important well when you're like trying to navigate at night because you may have to for self-rescue you don't want to ruin your night vision so then once you turn your.

Bright white light off your visions ruin so we've got red for that and whenever you use the bus saw signaling technique with this it's gonna be a big red circling flare tight look so that'll be good as we have ours has black hardware you can clip on your jacket keyring things like that black scout crest right there as well the next thing we have is.

A black Scout survival Fornell lens so you can use for magnification to start fires solar ignition or you can use it as a you know to look for splinters and other things like that we have a some duct tape flat pack so you can use it for medical you can use it for gear repair fashioning items put more food gathering stuff we have this too snailed.

Fish hooks and a sinker three sinkers so you can use some of the things I thought about in the old kit is that you actually had to tie the fishing knots and if you're really really cold drunk going to do that so the snail line has loops so you can hook the micro paracord and so you have that monofilament snailed in so it's not gonna spook any.

Kind of you know spooky fish that's out there that may have they seen it tied with some other type of line that would kind of spook them for signaling we have another we have the whistle as well as a small signal mirror here so in a case so you have that signaling mirror and then it's going to come with wilderness survival tips card.
