I've got possible crab attack going on right now big heavy heavy heavy oh there's two there ah it's so hot dude there's definitely something in here that's fish on oh there's a fish on the other end of the stick.

Oh he's coming towards me that's fish check the check this out look how tight that line is man oh bang dude what is going on my doggies welcome back to another video wait we just got pumped by a very very bloody big fish out here just saying we're still on a mission catching and eating only or eating only.

What we catch so today we've got to find something to put around a fire or cook up later on but I'll tie this tie this Rod up we'll go get a couple of live bait so what we're going to do now is we're gonna go get the cast net which is on the ground down there I'll show you guys how to throw a cast net while we're at it guys see if we can get a couple of.

Mullet Chuck another live bait out and then um I'll show you guys what we're doing all right all right now this here is called a cast net or a throw net or whatever you want to call the bloody thing like if you're if you're a mad cane fisherman you'll know what this is if you're not.

Basically what it is it's just a net it's got these little fine holes in it sinkers on the bottom or weights running around the whole entire bottom of the net when you throw it it spreads out it sinks and you can catch yourself just about anything if you had this in the bush you'd live for the rest of your life like honestly you can catch so much.

In these things but today what we're doing we're targeting small mullet only about probably mullet only about this big that's what we want to catch this net here is a 10 foot net so this is getting up there with the bigger Nets and um when you start pushing up into like a 10 foot net they start getting a little bit harder to throw than your.

Little six foot net so I'll show you guys how I throw this thing hopefully you can learn something if you're a um if you're a salty dog Fisher and you already know well tuning out for the next two seconds but what you do is grab your net evenly coil it up in your fingers go down one wrap it around.

Come down to make sure it's not twisted I've untwisted this before come down to lay that section there next to that section right there you're gonna grab about that much of this side of the net now this is the only hard part you're going to go under this arm right under that arm and over this.

Shoulder so what you do is you grab it coming under this arm and over the shoulder like that now what you do is you're going to split the remainder of the net in 50 50. so I want to have 50 of the net over there I want to have 50.

Of the net in my hand so this is what we're looking like we're all set up we're ready to throw this net it should fare now into a big beautiful 10 foot span and hopefully we can get a couple of fish in it what sometimes what I do is not all the time but it does help get your pinky grab this leading line from under your.

Arm hook your line there and then grab that again so what happens is that pinky there is your last piece of to let go you let the whole entire lot go and then as it's flying off your fingers you'll feel the pull it'll pull your pinky and it'll should just fan out into a beautiful net let's go see if we can get some bait in this net we just lost a big.

Fish man so I'm just gonna walk along the bank here looking for the mullet that we want to get there's a lot of small mullet I want a nice nice medium-sized mullet we only need one or two I don't have an aerator or anything here so.

Let's walk along this Bank look for the fish we want throw this bad boy over him just gonna have a lob out here see how we go maybe maybe not Bang well we've definitely got fish in there it wasn't the greatest throw by the way.

But we'll have bait for sure I can see it already look at it all we're laughing that is a perfect this here is the perfect mullet look at him that is going on straight away for bait we've got a big dog in the bottom there another one over here that's all you need mate one throw let's go let's go let's go let's go.

That right there is the perfect bit of bait perfect man Chuck him in the water look at this big dog down here that's a good mullet a little bit big for bait but he's incredible for um I'll Chuck him in the freezer we'll use him for bait later on that'll be a dead bait.

Look at this another perfect mullet all right which one's going on it's funnier look at this oh that's a perfect bit of bait man really good quickly let's get it over here what you do is.

So we're gonna have these as live bait right this back fin here I like to put it sort of in the center you just pin him in the back there and that fish is going to be alive swimming around perfect I'm gonna do is and try to send him just on the edge of the mangroves over there it's only about 15 meters away but.

That's where the fish should be swimming we're gonna lob him out there well that was absolutely bloody beautiful let him sink give him a little bit of line so he can pull away from the sinker chucked out there and just wait for it to bend there's a creek out the back here which.

I really really really want to explore so we'll head out there see what that Creek has to offer maybe we'll have some crabs for lunch but we do have to gather ourselves a feed today we've got no food on board we've got to get either a fish doing this or a crab or doesn't matter what it is we just got to eat good so that's the plan doggies strap yourselves.

In this video is about to take a turn we're going to go into the bush we're going on an adventure sight and we are back you can say now I've got my fly suit on look at this there's no flies on me now I've got this camo shirt on this is the best way to keep flies away from you.

Look when you're out here it's very hard to find firewood at times if you look at where I am right now there's just a big Barren plane there's nothing there's no trees there's no nothing out here it's just a little shrubbery so I'm gonna go collect a bit of firewood that's a good sign.

That's a very good sign big mud crab claw it's not that big it's pretty solid there's a lot bigger ones around here than that but there's a crab Gloria and this is the tree I'm talking about I'm gonna take some of this back back to Camp it's nice really really.

Hard wood so it should burn for a while start chopping a bit out oh there's one beautiful yeah baby all right that there is the last piece of firewood so now I've got a Hoover firewood we got no food so now we're gonna really.

Have to start pushing and trying to get a bit of bit of grub on the table what I'm going to do is I'm going to walk around check a couple of mud crab holes grab a crab hook we'll just go for a massive walk one or two hours through this Mangrove system that I just found see if we can pull a crab out of a hole hopefully fingers crossed we can.

I'm stinging for a mud crab around the fire let's go let the mud crab Mission begin we've got a crab hook we've got two sets of hands that's all we need to catch a big old crab this looks pretty good this Mangrove system's very sloppy uneven ground but it does look very very good.

There could be a couple of big dogs around again we are in crocodile country right now so I just got to be cautious of the edge of the water there but will be a lot let's see if we can get a big dog on the deck that's a deep hole it's about a meter and a half.

No one's own but nobody is on this hole's interesting it's either a rock or a crab in here but it feels very very like a crab but it's not moving it's not doing anything what is that this is a very strange hole man is definitely something in here.

But he's what he's doing is he's either coming up and sitting right up on the roof I've put a bend in my crab hooks my crab hook comes in and hits the roof now but he's just playing the game eh I can't and there's a crab in here for sure he did he pulled back just like he actually put tension against the rod.

But now I can't find him the hole that he's in is about as deep as that stick so he's he's all the way down the end there he's got to find him I might let him relax and I'll come back to this hole Maybe could be the crab I want.

Very strange what I'll do is I'll let that crab have some time to breathe hopefully he comes back out into the easy part of the hole so we'll just come back to that one a little bit later on there's definitely something in there I don't know if it's big or not but there's definitely a crab in it.

Okay pushing see if we can spawn another hole anyone home there's no one at the entrance of it whoa that is a good crab hole man MD look at this oh.

How's it even possible this hole right here is actually empty there's nothing in it it's big man this is like a proper proper giant Minecraft hole but it's empty I think we're gonna have to make damper could maybe feed a damp around the fire right that'll be all right we have been slogging it for the last.

Couple of hours out here around this soggy ass Marshland there are not many crab holes at all around this part so what I'll do is I'll punch back to where I think there might be that crab in that hole we'll go stick the sticker back down there have a feel around if not we'll revert to plan B and see if we can get some food that way.

Check this one hole I'm just going to boost back to the trophy we'll go off a little bit more see if we can get a um let's get Plan B into action that is the plan now here's a crab it's definitely not a monster this is not what we come for he's definitely not big enough.

Carve it in mud is only a little baby buck little puppy and put him back to let go of me bloody stick mate oh if you let go of that stick I'll let you own bud oh my God off you go.

Come on see you mate come back in a year you would not believe how much time I spent just then on that crab you're kidding it's too small all right let's go and kick Plan B in the ass we're gonna go and um execute Plan B.

Hopefully get a couple of crabs on the deck I'll see you guys whenever I'll see you next how foreign we are back on location we are back where we started this morning firewood is in place what we'll do is we'll Chuck a couple of baits out throw.

The throw net get some live baits aim of the game we just want to cook something up for dinner that's all we've got to do we failed miserably in the mudcrafting mission just then wasted a lot of time out there as well but you just got to be in it to winner don't you so now we're just gonna um focus our time in this specific area here we're gonna put rods.

Out we're going to put hand lines out we're going to put Plan B mud crabbing into force and uh hopefully we can get something to cook up around the fire if not we have plan A B we have plan C and plan C is a bloody good one anyway so we'll be eating good no matter what ah Plan B.

Mod crabbing missions are about to take place now if you guys watched a fair while ago we caught mud crabs just with a little bit of string and a couple of old fish heads I'm actually going to do that again it was very very productive we've got a heap of crabs that day so.

I'm gonna do that now if you guys missed that episode it's very simple grab any kind of fishing line grab a fish head this one's already got the old line on it from last time so I'm just going to tie him up look at this so windy right now windy and flies and.

It's the Tide's gone out again so we're just waiting for that incoming tide the fishing will get better but that's it that's what we're doing for crabs there's one we'll set up two we'll set up three we'll pepper them along the bank here and then every five or six minutes we'll go see if there's tension if there's.

Tension usually it means there's a big mud crab and is locked onto it and we should just slowly be able to pull him up the bank all those mudcraft holes we checked today bone dry nothing in them except for that one little one so let's go and flick this out see if we can get a fish I mean see if we can get a crab then throw net live bait fishing rods.

Covering all bases we need to eat boom that's one set up ah now these flies are even going into my eyeballs right now hectic all right there's one have a go at that one that is a big bit of meat right there.

That's probably going to get taken by a shark to be honest send this one down there we've got two out at the moment we've got one behind me one up there just near the mangroves we're gonna stick this one down the back there this one's the biggest one by far that's just a big chunk of mullet meat right there.

See how this goes probably gonna get a buddy crocodile on this one it's just got to be strong enough to hold it I don't know all right let's lob this big chunk out there let's see if we can go get ourselves a little bit of bait in this net again.

Just like we did this morning something big hit that bait this morning so we'll see what we can get this over low tide right now it's no good super muddy water but once that tide starts pushing in fishing should start getting pretty good this one over the shoulder Bang.

Oh if we go if we don't get any fish or crabs probably will actually that's perfect have a look at him straight on the hook just like we did this morning this one just in front of that fin straight in the back there bang that's our bait send it straight.

Out and hold on boom good luck buddy hey all right here's the situation fishing rod with a live bait on it coming down here big 100 pound hand line with a live bait on it so we've got two live bait out one on the other side of.

The creek one just sitting on the inside here in this muddy water every now and then this is where you get the barramundi swimming on the shallow Edge very hard to catch barramundi where we are right now but we're going to give it a red eye crack what I've Just Seen is now a little a little um crab bait on a string one of them is.

Tight that one's loose but this one here look at this how tight this is this one's tight man this is that massive chunk of fish oh I think it's fish biting it extremely tight dude slowly bring him up to the bank come on man oh he's pulling.

He's pulling hard dude come on mate what I'm gonna have to do is get behind that little Mangrove there I'll sit up there and try to get him up come on Big Boy come to Papa look at him he's just this is actually going to be quite hard.

Because that mud down there is very slippery dude good crab come on mate yeah doggies that is what I'm talking about that there my friends is dinner we got him.

Good buck happened again on the bloody dead baits that is my new favorite way of catching crabs look at this thing here's good crab beautiful bark you can see there's a bark under there yeah doggy we're all right we're finally eating something for the day time check.

316 in the arbo haven't eaten anything all day it's the first thing we caught frothing good crab very good crab bye bang that's like that we've got we've got a nice eating nice color look at him he's a really good looking crab big set of big set of claws on him what.

You can do is when you get a crab this underneath section here see these panels you've got the two two and two panels here when you get a crab like this what crabs do is they do something called molting so when they when their shells are getting old they'll actually replace their shell with a new shell what happens is the crab meat inside.

Actually deteriorate deteriorates away and they have this like this like gooey liquid inside which replaces the meat while they're going through that molting stage so at so sometimes you can look at a crab you can see that is going to be full of meat because he's got an old like war wound on him or he's got an old Shell you know that he's an old crab.

Also what you can do is these little panels just under this body here you can push on them and if there's any kind of flex in that in that part of the bone there or the shell it means that it's not going to be full of meat like 100 full if you get one and it's super soggy no good put him back come back in a few months he'll be full of meat so this one.

Here it's quite firm but it's not rock hard so this guy here is probably going to be about 75 percent full of meat he won't be a big full crab but he's gonna have a fair whack in him good little trick if you ever get a crab and it's super soft down there put him back come back in a few months he'll be full but this one is not too bad we'll.

Keep him because the only bit of food we've got out here right now so we're laughing he's a good crab look at that thing on the bloody dead bait again can't go wrong I that's fish on please don't be a shark please please don't be a shark we just got a mud crab.

Up on the bank and this live mullet just got smacked it's running right down the bank there you're kidding man I'm just playing around with that Bloody crab and this Rod just got hit what have we got here we could be eaten very good this other there's a lot of sharks in here that's.

The problem oh I just pulled hooks I just pulled hooks on it it didn't have it in its mouth properly yo no way that was a fish we had a fish on oh man the hook just wasn't set and then my fish must have had it in his head in his mouth.

But didn't pick it up ah that means that it was not a shark could have been anything oh we try again it is all happening right now we've got another crab on here I don't want to get too close to that water's edge here but we have a crab look at this crab look how tight that.

Line is man they fully oh look at him oh there's two there there's two big crabs that other one's massive oh there's two crabs well one here look at the color of his claws man how beautiful is this thing this is on a Whiting head see if we can flick him up oh get up here yeah that's a good crab good crab.

Good crab is bigger than the last one no yes he's a ripper he's an absolute rip snorder of a crab that thing let's get away from the edge of the water look at that man here's Big Boy Big Dog's gotta eat now we're eating good.

Now we are eating good hey we're starting get a fade put together there's that crab we got it's another cracker of a crab again the underneath here it's a little bit flexy there's a little bit of flex there which means this crab's probably gonna have about 50 meat.

Inside it so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna tie these crabs up and I'm going to keep them alive I'm not going to put them in the freezer I'm going to put them in a cool bag and if we get more crabs and we upgrade and I get better quality crabs I'll then release these ones and we'll keep the better ones we only want to have two.

Crabs that's enough for me hopefully we'll get a fish we just lost a fish then something obviously just pulled the hooks on the pulled hooks but if you want to tie a crab up very simple come under the back flippers like this bring it under these two back swimmers here just like this bang bang then you can come over.

Put his claws into his face you can roll the crab over just like this keeping tension on those strings of course and then flipping back flip him back oh man he's got strong little feet and I'll just wrap it around again and again.

And then you just tie those two off like that and that's how you tie up a crab he's not going anywhere this is how you'll see it done when you go to like a restaurant and you buy your crabs alive this is what you this is what you'll find there's a hundred different ways of doing it there is no right or wrong way as long as these little claws can't come.

Free that's good enough for me but that there is how I tie off a crab just like that he's not going nowhere neither is that bit of string so he's tied up he can't attack us he can't fight with the other crabs I'm going to Chuck him in a cool bag and we'll see if we can start upgrading but here's a good.

Crab that's two crabs now one fish lost loving it check the check this out that line is as tight as a bloody guitar string this line here is as tight as a bloody guitar string which means we've got a crab on that dead bait and we've got a crab on this dead bait we've got two crabs now both in a cool bag.

Waiting to be upgraded this here's got a crab on it thank you now the crab on the deck look at this man we are on fire right now here's a different color here's a good crab look at the color of him.

All right here's very very soft so if you push there that's extremely soft so all the crabs in this Creek right now must be molting their shells because that there's very soft he's a little bit smaller than the other ones so what I might do is I'll let this one back nice crab though very good.

We'll put him back straight away I definitely on a roll out here my doggies but definitely on a roll that's another good crab we'll put this one back besides good set of claws on him just the underneath there is very soft which means he'd only be 50 40 full of meat so not worth keeping.

Going buddy get back it's your lucky day mate all right ball that crab disappears we'll grab the crab hook and um lag it over here because this string here is tight now go away flies man this one here has a lot of tension on it oh it's gone you know what happened to.

This one I reckon a shark bit it off look at that gone there's nothing left shark come through and bit that off second time a shark's taking the bait mongrels oh possible fish.

Is on the end of this Rod right now what I'm doing I'm free running the spool I'm just letting him take it for a sec he took a bit oh here we go he's got it he took a bit of a run he's running now look he's going he's going I don't want to lose another fish I'd love to eat fish for dinner.

Going on down here this Fire's been going for about 40 minutes to an hour now what I'm doing is I'm just building up a nice coal base so I'm just going to keep adding this wood just want a nice big better coals over here we've had a bit of issue we've had an issue.

A shark has come through and bidden off every single one of our um crab baits one two and three crab baits gone shark just come through a bit them all off so I've gone back into me Fraser and I've got some more out of there here we have.

Flat head Whiting another big flat idea this is all Frozen out of me freezer putting a 10 Peg through the head making a hole we're going to tie these tie these Flathead heads on now and Chuck them out for crab bait see if we can keep upgrading hopefully.

Upgrade Rod hasn't seen any action in a while fires pumping over there dude who's at 11. right let's get this out all right it's time to start preparing a little bit of food ah it's so hot dude one two three go all right we're gonna put these 10 pegs.

Ah that is some serious hey that water's not gonna take long to boil all right we've got our three ten pegs evenly sitting in the center of the fire there what we'll do now is grab this pot of water now this pot of water is from out there.

So it's the natural water the crabs are from I'm gonna sit that straight on top of them 10 pegs there you guys should know by now 10 pegs the air gets underneath underneath the pot it boils like so much quicker than any other way you'll ever do it so that's sitting there she's sitting pretty we'll just keep loading that up with sticks.

We're gonna need that water to be boiling foreign to the kitchen down here I have a pot of water boiling on the fire it is natural water from the creek so this Creek is actually completely salt water the mouth of the river is only just up there so it is.

Beautiful salty water what we'll do is we'll boil the crabs in that water that's going to give the crabs that incredibly beautiful salty taste you can't beat Boiling Crabs in the water they come out of so we've got water boiling down here here we've got the bucket of our cast net this is the only thing I've got and.

It's just gonna have to do when you're out in the bush you've just got to improvise so we've got that what we're gonna what we're making now is we're making Bush bread or bush damper so we're going to make a little bit of a damper right now I'm excited about it and I'm gonna do something a little bit different that I've never done before so.

Down here my legs I've got a couple of ingredients there's a bag of self-raising flour a little bit of salt and the thing that's different is a clove of garlic so what I'll do is don't need that for now we don't need that bucket can sit over there I'm going to start knocking the head off this garlic.

I'm going to chop the whole entire clove up I'm going to put it in with the with the bread and see if we can make make like a garlic bread or a garlic a garlic bloody um garlic damper so I'm going to start chopping up this garlic get out of your little bloody sleeping bag mate there we go.

That's a good chunk of garlic well I must say a massive massive thank you to the absolute Legends who found and returned this knife I lost this knife off the back of my car in a little Country Town out in the middle of nowhere and these absolute bloody legend kids picked it up gave it.

To their old man they got in contact with me because this is the only knife basically in the world man not many people have this knife right here so as soon as I seen the knife they knew it was mine they got in contact with me and they um they gave it back so you guys if you're watching a bloody really do appreciate it I would have.

Catfish look at this thing that is what you call a fish you don't want to catch nice fish it's quite big if that was a threadfin salmon I would be bloody laughing right now big catfish you can see his whiskers here he's got two of these big dirty whiskers there that's why they're called a catfish I.

Suppose but he's a big boy definitely not what we come for three very very dangerous spikes this one on the top here and the two on the side one two you don't want to be stepping or standing on them but that's a catfish that's getting back in the water let's keep cooking our bloody damper who am I off you go see you later mate.

I know back to cooking this damn bro so what we're gonna do we've got the throw net bucket let's clean all the mud off that and put him there we're gonna mix up the our damper inside this bucket a little bit of self-raising flour.

Just Chuck it in doesn't matter how much probably I'm gonna go about what have I done that it's half of a bag of self-raising flour salt don't be scared with the salt you can either make sweets or you can make savory damper I actually have sultanas and.

Honey in the car but this time we're going to go with a little bit of a non-sweet one heaps of salt now slowly add your water in so you're just gonna go like this that'll do ya grab this little stirring stick usually.

I'd use my hands but my hands are just covered in mud and fish guts so slow they're just going to stir this up so you can see now that's already begging for a little bit more water so we'll give him a bit more not too much.

Little bits at a time give them a stir look he's already begging for a bit more probably not much now Hallelujah mix him up it's starting to look very much like a doe now so if you stick your finger in there and.

It sticks to your finger like that no good I'm gonna go a little bit more flour only a touch just like that there keep going mix him up until there's a beautiful little ball of bread because what's that guy gonna do is going to stop that little bugger from.

Sticking so we'll just give that a little bit of a wash around gonna take this little damper which is inside our bucket they're gonna plunk him on there like that and then you're just gonna start kneading it.

Just like this here if you need more flour always add a little bit more to it look at that the wind has covered me in flour but that is the consistency we've got it's a beautiful little bit of bread nice it's just perfect Chuck that down there now I'm going to get the garlic I'm.

Gonna make a little void or a little crater in the middle here I'm just going to pour that garlic inside we're just going to start folding that garlic in and then keep kneading it what's going to happen is that garlic is going to separate evenly disperse through the bit of damper.

I reckon it'll be good I've never done it before never seen anyone do it before but surely people have done it that's going to be a bloody good damper telling you that is the perfect consistency sort of holds its weight when you're doing that and then it'll just slowly go and it'll just spread out.

Into a nice little ball so what we do is spread that flour around because that's it if that's your finished product we're just going to let him sit there now do that making the shape you want let him sit there for the next 20 minutes half an hour just like that inside this Camp oven here very clean.

Little bit of flour Just Dance a little bit of flour around in there flick it up on the sides spin it around shake out the excess flour you don't want but you want to have a little bit left in there just sitting on the bottom that's pretty good just like that it stops it from sticking.

So now we're going to grab our big beautiful bit of bread I'm gonna drop him in there Chuck the lid on bang it's that simple well that water's boiling we can Chuck the crabs in whenever we want now but I'm here for the coals I'm not here for the hot water so grab a couple of coals.

Chuck them on the side now the key to cooking the perfect damper is that there is probably way too hot see how they're still red like that I'm probably going to burn the bottom of my damper so I'll get rid of some of these calls the key to the perfect damper is extremely low heat.

Chuck him over those coals take a handful more sit them on top there not too many that'll do maybe I'll go one more one more big one oh that's probably too much that's enough that's it a little bit on the bottom a little bit on the top water's.

Boiling food is not far off two monster crabs they're going in the pot I've had both of these crabs in an ice slurry for the last 10 minutes so they're both passed out obviously we can't upgrade we're not going to have time these crabs are still going to have nerves in them they're still going to.

Move and I'll put them in the water so don't bloody freak out there they go in the water look at that we've got damper down here a couple of crabs here it's all right it's it's nerves it's not alive chill out chill out look at this spot sunsets.

Fish are starting to move in there's a lot of fish jumping and moving around out here I just put a new live bait on that rod a couple of crabs are cooking dampers on the cook time has come take them off look at these little tongs they're.
