What's going on guys black Scout survival and today I'm going to show you how to make a five dollar shelter survival shelter or bug-out shelter kit and all you need is just a few items you can put in a bag just like this you know that way is all contained but you're going to need duct tape an emergency blanket you can use the cheap mylar.
Paracord and a trash can 55-gallon drum liner with these you know if you you know really cheap items you can make a very good shelter that will you know keep you warm and dry in a multitude of different you know situations so let me put it together so the next thing is just going to open up your bag and find the bottom of it and so this is the.
Bottom there and the open end is here so what I'm going to need to do and this don't have to be pretty so I can fold it in half I'm just going to take I got some my Leatherman multi-tool trauma shears here but you can use your knife and just cut this bottom portion off and it doesn't have to be pretty like I said it I didn't have to be even just close.
To even as possible and by doing this you're essentially going to be making a tube tent now that you cut that hole you now have a tube tent like I say just run your pure cord through and you know have it rigged through the tree already and this is pretty much you're going to make your ridge line for this shelter okay now I.
Have rigged this up through the tube you know the trash can we made into a tube shelter I put our trucker's hitch on this side and just a bowline bowline on this side and I'm going to be done showing how to tie both those nuts the next thing you're going to do just kind of situate it where you want it at then take your duct tape and it's a.
Single side duct tape here I mean not single side but stuck to a piece of paper so it's a flat pack they call it and what we're going to do with that is you're just going to tape up the top of this edge here to the line that way it stays in place and you're just going to kind of run your finger across the top to make sure when you pair this across.
The top so you make sure that in it's very on the line so now it's not going to move there so now we have the shelter all put together I just basically grin paracord through the inside of the shelter and then I use tape like I did up here to keep it out and I've used stakes you don't have to use States you can make your own in the field but.
Anyhow I'm going to get in the shelter and show you but you see there's a little bit of room underneath it it has a lot of room so basically that's for is to put debris under the shelter so you're not sleeping directly on the ground it will give you insulation you definitely want that in a cold weather environment so just pack as much debris.
Make sure it's no sticks or anything like that but just like leaves and and pine straw and stuff like that underneath there and give you about you know good four to six inches thick so that's why this is up that high because it's going to be pretty thick so also if it is raining or something like that you'll notice I put it at an angle.
So the head is higher than the feet you can tape with that duct tape the whole front end closed so you still have ventilation out here so you're not going to suffocate yourself but you can keep it pretty much waterproof as well or keep the bag you know together seal it up and just run the line through it make a hole and just take that hole up for.
Waterproofness now also another thing that you can do is take the mercy blanket and wrap inside this top guideline here this ridge line and drape it through there so you have a complete waterproof windproof shelter and also have that ninety percent reflectivity of the mercy blanket but I'm gonna go ahead and get in here.
And now I'm just gonna go ahead and open up this mercy blanket and show you just how easy it is to wrap this inside of it now you want to have the hold the doorways open because of the insulated you know I mean the condensation building in here they'll give it a breeze so you don't get wet so now you see we've got the reflective.
Mylar on one side reflecting that heat that's going to keep us warm so guys that was the $5 bug-out or survival shelter and you know survival shelter should be small and you know a easily carried with you this one you know depending on what bag to use and stuff like that you can actually wrap it down small enough to put in your back pocket.
So the thing is is that if you also get a fire out here it will kind of simulate the old Morse Kohan ski super shelter because this side is you know open or and doesn't have the blanket on so if let out that other side and you know keep you warm like that reflect that heat to you and you know really bring the temperature up this thing was so hot.
Just few minutes gone pouring sweat now so you know definitely for very cold environments but nonetheless it's uh hopefully this is a tool that can help you please check us out on blasts got super calm make sure you subscribe to our channel we put out a few new videos every week and as always thanks for watching.

Vast video! Thanks. Perhaps I'm taller than you are but i provided a box of 55 gallon drum liners and they had been nowhere approach that long. And that i cannot get them in orange. The establish did you peek yours, please?
I love the duck tape or gorilla tape thing…with 2 or 3 devices, I will closed the decrease openings, sealing with the tapes and forestall slithering serpents from coming in. Tq.. I reside on the Equator
Utilize 4 mil plastic. It’s probably you’ll per chance perchance identify 10' broad rolls which are folded already that you just would possibly per chance perchance decrease in 10' sections and fold flat to your glean. That is extra padding you are going to occupy multi use from.
May perchance per chance additionally that fit a family of 3?
A tarp would work better as it is stronger and retains water out.
You understand you've space this up in the course of a direction in the course of a wooded space. If a undergo ever came along, you're history. You've by no approach be in a local to come by out of that in time.
i extinct trashbags my grandpa has the largest black trashbags ever i took one secretly and took 9 ft of genuine heavy accountability paracord btw the trash glean is 8 ft by 6 ft long
ROFL… that’s some funny stuff. Worship it. Edifying form sure you check for “Widow Makers” sooner than you climb into that tube….
Vast video. It’s probably you’ll per chance perchance also simply smooth return to this form of video instead of your novel one's where you motive alarm. I'd true variety roam a hole for the bowline and withhold in extra heat and lend a hand out wind rain snow and bugs
Essentially true variety video. I’d switch 1 thing. Swap to survival or barren region paracord. Physically the identical, survival has fishing line and fire starer cord in it. Desert adds a snare wire, “heat proof” cord for placing pots and is over 2x stronger.
with true variety shirt and pants, unlaced shoes, on a sound asleep pad or pile of dry particles, that also can simply suffice to enable you to sleep okay at 50F. in wind and rain, or 45F out of the wind and in dry circumstances. If you happen to can use dry particles, you would possibly per chance perchance also come by it the total device down to 35F, but that's primarily the most productive you would possibly per chance perchance demand. if the total native particles moist and you’ll be in a position to't come by out of the wind, right here’s extremely, very miserable as a refuge parts. A Siberian fire lay would possibly perchance per chance perchance come by you the total device down to 30F, in wind and rain. If you happen to also know to utilize sizzling rocks internal of your drum liner, wrapped in particles, you would possibly per chance perchance also come by it the total device down to (per chance) 25F for 2 hours, or so, in case you're out of the wind.. If you happen to can “procedure” the one potential projected heat of a Siberian fire lay at yourself from a salvage 3 ft away, you would possibly per chance perchance tackle 15F, but you'll occupy to withhold swapping out cool rocks for warmth ones and transferring the logs ahead into the flames. This would per chance perchance also simply can also simply smooth be performed every couple of hours. The siberian and the Different Swedish fire torch will burn inexperienced, moist wood and can't be achieve out by rain. The Swede is extinct to ignite the Siberian. Help the swede dry in case you would possibly per chance perchance., or at the least, lend a hand dry some shavings and scrapings for the within of your Swede bundle. Yt vits about these fire lays and the discrete Dakota fire pit.
