Could you imagine being stuck on a tropical island for a year and a half with pretty much no obligations no job to go to in the morning no one to answer to a year and a half of doing pretty much whatever you want when you want well i have pretty much.

Just gone through this and i want to take you guys back on the journey pretty much a recap of the last year and a half of me being stuck on this incredible island but also i want to take you guys on the journey of youtube because when i got stuck on this island i also.

Started this youtube channel and um this is something that's blown my mind it's um something i never thought i was gonna do but i've done it and it's the best decision i've ever made so we're gonna do a little bit of a recap of the last year and a half being stuck on this epic tropical island with only a handful of fishing rods.

A couple of surfboards a tent and a bloody good attitude so stay tuned grab a beer sit down get ready for it i'm about to punch this way i'm going on a little fishing trip now enjoy doggies ow i've got a two hour walk through this jungle back to that boat driver.

And i've got to do it in one hour this is literally one of the most beautiful places i've ever been i can't leave    oh my god.

I have to probably make one of the biggest decisions of my life right now get out of a get out of indonesia fly back to australia or stay in indonesia right now china is getting hammered by some cooked disease and um my girlfriend and i were going to make a decision to stay in indonesia.

All of my australian friends have pretty much packed up and gone back to australia which freaks me out a little bit because we're making a decision to stay here and um that's it we're staying in indonesia we're going to sit this thing out and we're just going to try to take the.

Most positive that we can out of this negative situation and um we're just going to grind through this thing uncertainty time we are so uncertain what's going to happen the beaches behind me are closed i'm not even supposed to be down on this little creek right now it is a completely abandoned barley so right now very very.

Uncertain times i'm not sure if we've made the right decision by staying here but things are absolutely crazy right now like i said we're just gonna try to take the most positive vibes out of this  situation and um see if we can get through it with a big smile on our face.

Um we've actually fully fully just smashed the drone into a tree looks like we're going on a drone recovery mission oh this is going to be a this is going to be a mission well at least it's a lovely view from up here lovely views and look at our seagull she's sitting there pretty.

There she is and i have bees look at this bee dude there's a bee trying to sting me not right now get off my leg oh it fell down yes all right a little bit of rain all the things you do to make a fire.

Oh  then we're just gonna wrap him up  i can't believe how good that's cooked all right moment of truth wow that's so hot.

   yes   hand line leatherman t-shirt all right i've got to get out of here these mozzies are insane.

I have my back i don't know if you can see my back  yes that's food that is lunch right there look at that night bush talk at its finest  this is what we're going to be dealing.

With our worms are on the stick oh look at the size of the bloody thing  there we go yeah doggy look at the teeth on him huh watch your finger so sick look at the colors in it.

Here we go here we go good morning brother yeah pocky bro look at this today is a bloody beautiful day we have just hit 000 subscribers on youtube in just under eight months so over the last eight months i have been grinding.

I think i've put up one video every sunday for the last eight months i may have missed one week but over the eight months i have grown a beautiful youtube channel with a beautiful community of 100 000 people absolutely fizzing right now for me when i started this journey.

It was never about the number of people number of subscribers it was just about having fun and documenting what i'm doing but i appreciate every single one of those buddy subscribers it has made my absolute day i'm gonna go crack open a couple of cold beers this afternoon.

And um oh absolutely fizzing brother whoa  really really hope we can get something good to eat oh that's a fish here we go that's a fish on oh oh my god dude i need help man this is psycho okay now we need a wave go run go go go go go.

 oh my god look at this slob of a fish whoa you're joking so that's two oh no they're slimy chuck them in the coconut first fish going in the pan oh wow that's so hot.

Gonna burn the house down  oh my god you would never believe what is waking me up right now i was actually having a really good sleep like 1 56 in the morning everywhere this whole entire cave is full of crazy crabs it's so gnarly like there's another one there and they.

Crawl on me they literally crawling on me look at them around me they're all over the place here there another one  man are you kidding me look at this it is currently june 5th 2020 we are.

Right in the middle of this headache corona period and right now in bali all of these beaches are on complete lockdown you're not allowed on the beach you're not allowed to go fishing you're not allowed to go surfing you're not even allowed to enter the water but we've figured out a way where we can.

Surf from like sunrise till about nine o'clock every day and i am telling you right now it is some of the most incredible waves with about two or three people on them you will never see indonesia like this ever again it is a once in a lifetime thing i'm so stoked that i got to stay here.

I'm so stoked that i'm getting to enjoy these waves pretty much you wake up at dark i come down the beach every morning at dark paddle out when it's still dark as soon as that sun rises you can probably surf till about 7 30 or 8 o'clock and then the army and the police come down the beach.

Blowing whistles waving big sticks in the air and then you paddle in as soon as you paddle in they come down and you just run you just lag it up the beach and not yet have they chased me and i've been doing this for about a month and a half now so it has been an absolutely incredible.

Time to be stuck in bali pumping waves no one around i've been doing some incredible fishing no one around right now i think i've definitely definitely made the right choice to stay here in indonesia i'm having one hell of a time empty beaches all to.

Ah it is absolutely bloody beautiful no water no food no shelter i've got a pocket knife and a handful of batteries that's all i've got out here for the next three days   ah dude that's ridiculous.

It is so hot right now boom yes have a go at this we've got about i don't know 25 20 snails a big crab so they're gonna be eating good that's gonna be our dinner as well this is my first proper meal in two days all right welcome to day three.

Holy dude  i have an entire body of goosebumps right now i did not put this thought i swear i swear on my life i did not put this song here i have a body full of goosebumps right now i swear to god.

I didn't put that song there  holy dude that's weird all right so i'm definitely not here alone there's other people living somewhere here because what the hell everything else is how i left it my paper.

 whoa that's so strange man maybe those sounds for somebody last night not an animal  oh that gives me the that gives me um shoes hi yes look at that.

That big bad boy is coming straight our way so before i get these coconuts down i might pitch the tent just so we know we can stay dry that's what i'm talking about we've got three coconuts we might be taking shelter in the tent but that's all good because we got.

Mad coconut it is absolutely logging down right now so we're gonna take shelter in here and uh i don't know how long this is going to take it is a black spire coming for us so i'll see you guys want to stop signing we got so many coconuts to drink.

How beautiful is this little creek here so that's where we slept last night there's our tent epic views all right we actually made it in the cave this is psycho man i had to here we go this is look at this joint man if this swell.

Picks up anymore we're gonna get dusted it's pretty sick but look at this this is what it's all about this one  oh look at that there we go now we're cooking yesterday i went for a quick walk didn't get the whole way around this.

Island went for a quick walk around this island and i found the most cutest most beautiful little baby goat  so this is where the baby goat is and listen that's dee dee dee dee good morning beautiful boy oh girl i.

Don't know what you are yes good morning hello oh you're so look how hungry it is i don't have any kind of milk coming out of my fingers mate  all right buddy i'll be back this afternoon hopefully we can get you some milk.

All right stay safe stay out of the sun tell your mum to come back oh look at it really jumping out of the water this is sick i'm literally just going to drop this directly onto here just like that it's that easy yep oh man that's breakfast.

 there's coconuts hanging on the other side of the fence there's a bunch of coconuts here which are actually on this side of the fence look at him he just like sits around the corner of the bushes.

I'm not taking the coconuts holy man he doesn't like me being on this island all right let's get out of here ah we've got goat's milk yes how epic is this man what a secret and an absolutely amazing day this goat is absolutely smashing the milk finally we figured out a way to do.

It hey gobbleguts oh really uh-huh i've got to go home buddy hey i've got to go home now mate i've got another island to go to i'll come back for you one day okay you stay safe stay safe all right still hungry man such a beautiful little animal.

If you stay safe i'll be back one day rydo sit down buckle up we are going on a fishing mission you me and the noodle rod we're heading up we're hidden bush we're gonna go put a big bend in the noodle rod to celebrate one year of youtube videos.

So today marks the day when i posted my very very first video on youtube one year ago and man it has been a wild ride i have posted a video every sunday for the last year i think i've missed two or three uploads because i had a saw back and maybe one i.

Don't remember the reason why but apart from that i've uploaded a video every sunday for a year and it has been one of the most enjoyable things i've done i'm so happy i decided to try to start a youtube channel and do these things it's given me opportunities that i've never had before.

It's um i never have to go back to plumbing again this is my full-time job very very bloody grateful so stoked that i've put in the hard work and got the results we are currently sitting at just over 300 000 subscribers on the channel 300 000 beautiful people have joined the journey.

Thank you guys to the bloody absolute moon and back we're going to put a big bend in the noodle rod to celebrate one year on youtube we're still here in indonesia we're still locked down and um things are absolutely bloody beautiful right now so.

That's a bit of a different species that is what it's all about  beautiful beautiful barracuda unbelievable what just happened then put him to sleep yo oh my god oh yeah what we come here for.

Good job hold on what a day i'm definitely excited to see if you can actually cook inside of water inside a coconut let's go all right on goes the coconut dice up our garlic straight in there in goes the shallot how good is this another fish delivery.

Oh my goodness look at that get our little stirring stick that is perfect man i'm so excited about this we've got a magic little coconut bowl here that's going to be epic and i've made a little bamboo bush fork oh oh it's steaming come on come out.

Oh look at that that is hot man this is by far the best ever fish i've ever cooked ever not just on this channel but in my life in general  are you gonna go.

What happened  that's so sick one and two look at that cooking five-star views this is what it's all about huh it is so hot look at her she's coughing ahead it's hot hi and the worst thing is as soon as you go.

Into the bush there you get smashed by mosquitoes and if it's not mosquitoes it's these psycho red ants she just got attacked by red ants massively when she was getting firewood so welcome to nature it's bloody beautiful out here bud.

 all right there you go that is what my year and a half in indonesia pretty much looked like it was just an incredible incredible year and a half of just doing what i want to do what i love doing pretty much on the daily basis it was an incredible year but today the date is.

The 25th of may 2021 we have a flight ticket tomorrow morning back to australia so the indonesian adventure it is over it's been around about a year and a half give or take a month or two in this incredible country doing some things that i never thought i'd be able to do.

And um i am truly bloody grateful about it it feels sort of surreal that i've turned this really shitty corona time into such an a positive fun experience we've built a youtube channel we are currently sitting right now on 600 000 subscribers on the youtube channel so.

In just under in just about a year and a half we've grown that channel to 600 000 people that is half a million beautiful souls every single one of them is a family member to me right now very grateful to each and every one of them and um look that is it from this indonesian adventure it has been incredible i've.

Met some incredible people i've done some incredible things but it's time for a change and i guess i will see you guys either from a quarantine room in australia or on the road in australia so if you guys want to keep up with the australian adventures make sure you smash that subscribe.
