Guys black scout survival and today we're doing a watch review if you follow me on other social media sites you should probably see me reviewing this watch talking about those you know doing some testing for it and going forward we've got a good bit of watch for you i think it's maybe 10 watch reviews thus far i'm a huge watch fanatic.

And the plan is is to do a lot more military tactical survival watch reviews going forward um you know analog digital smart all those sort of things just you know from all the price ranges from the you know 50 of the thousands of dollars we're gonna do across the board all the different kind of watches out.

There this one i was really excited about i like smart watch technology i usually hate the way they look right you know i have apple watch i use sometimes for fitness um is it the best fitness tracker no you got to charge every day also you know.

You can't go on a you know long hikes or you can track your mileage and things like that but you you can't go for a multi-day trip that's where this one comes into play the garmin instinct tactical solar now they have two models um the solar and non-solar personally.

Bottom on the up front um i got the solar because i thought you know for a survival situation where i may be out getting the sun's you know beams to help extend the battery life i thought that'd be great um the solar comes in a black and olive drab the non-solar gets is black and uh coyote tan and i actually do like.

The coyote tan better i think it looks cooler but the thing is is that this claims to have like you know 20 something a day battery life i could only get 10 and that's running you know understandably i run every feature on the watch and that's working out you know six days a week tracking things.

Tracking sleep all that sort of things i could only get about 10 days and that's including some days where i spent you know you know 15 hours in the sun where the wash was in the sun all day and so for me um i would personally oh you know this is about 100 some odd dollars more.

I would personally uh go for the non solar and you could use a like a solar panel to recharge if you needed to you know or you know it's going to last you like 10 days anyway so of course you could extend the life by cutting it off right so i'm gonna put.

Links below for both models i would definitely encourage you to get the coyote brown non-solar version um this watch you know i'm not gonna go over all the technical specifications i'm going to talk about usage because there's hundreds of videos people doing about technical specs i use this thing to swim in.

I worked out with it hiked with it you name it i've done it with it slept with it it didn't come off my wrist for about a month and a half during my testing okay and the the bigger the bigger benefit of this watch is not only just the watch itself but.

The app that goes with the watch for your phone that tracks almost everything about your life you know so there's something called a whoop strap that people wear it looks like a bracelet and it tracks kind of like the same function as this so you kind of get the best of both world now this has a g-shock look.

Which i really dig um you know they have a tactics version which is like a full-color you know glass screen model of the garmin the thing is that thing can get shattered this is like a g-shock very robust it looks very tactical you know and and and when i say tactical i mean the black lit display.

That you can pretty much see any time of day very well and it is very visible the other thing i like about this smart watch because i mean it is technically a smart watch even though it doesn't look like it is that it can run independently from a phone whereas like a.

Apple watch cannot run independently from a phone so you got to have your phone with you this can run independently and then you can download the information later from the watch and i did that multiple times on workouts and things like that where i would not have my phone work out and then download later and download is.

Literally hitting a refresh button on the app so you can put various widgets on here like right now i have mine with a temperature a heart rate and that has a heart rate graph for the day military time date month.

Battery level and um stealth mode so let's talk about the tactical motors for a second it has a tactical mode which is essentially you hit it and it's more like a rucking it keeps your you know your distance your time uh your breadcrumbs your trail so you can navigate i mean you can navigate.

With this watch just like a full gps and you can use a compass feature and all that it also has a jump master feature which i think is cool and i wish i had this when i was in the military just to play with them they have halo hay ho and static line parachuting so you can use that as well track me navigation and various workouts so run bike pull swim.

Strength and you can even create your own like i created a functional fitness widget that would track what i wanted it to you know for doing my metabolic conditioning type stuff and functional fitness obviously um things but ski snowboard whatever you want to do and it'll track you it'll you know record the temperature.

Um and all that sort of thing so before we get more than the fitness let's talk about the tactical stuff a little more it has night vision capability which is critical if you're running night vision you can use this thing it won't show up at night unless you have night vision and you hit the button and instead of.

The blue glow it gives you uh infrared glow so you can see with your night vision so in a technical situation grid down a zombie apocalypse and i'm running nods i can use this watch with night vision right and uh that also has a kill switch so if i.

Need like let's say you're about to get captured by enemy forces and you need to just delete everything on the watch you go in there and hit the kill switch in 10 seconds wipes the watch completely there's no data on the watch you can also use this in a covert mode where it doesn't record any data to the phone so it'll run independently.

Obviously and and won't put out any signal so no one can pick it up uh you know if somebody's trying to track or pick up signals it'll not send any kind of signal out there let's talk about fitness for a moment the fitness was incredible i i was.

Shocked um in the app you have you know strength training that's that let's say just for strength training so it can detect what exercise you're doing so if you're doing a bicep curl you're going to press a kettlebell swing and it'll count your repetitions.

And then you just implement your or input your weight and then it'll do a total weight count for that day let's say like i lifted one day i was like almost 12 000 pounds so the 12 000 pounds that day it also shows a diagram of the primary and secondary muscles used for that workout you know what i mean if.

You're if you're moving through workouts you can stop stop uh start stop start it counts your rest time it shows you how much uh how active you are during your workout so let's say you got a 40 minute workout and you have 10 minutes active the rest is rest you know you're not putting out.

I think this for fitness is a critical tool i screw an apple watch this thing is amazing if you're if you're doing uh you know where you're really trying to keep track of your workouts you know instead of writing in law books it keeps.

Everything hey how much weight you lift how many reps this and that it does completely on that it tracks everything in like i said it can detect what what you're doing you want to pull up it can detect it now sometimes it gets a little uh crazy and it says you know maybe a tricep kickback for a pull-up or.

Something and all you have to do is just change that and you can basically modify anything in the app very easily on your phone boom boom done um you know i i worked out and did various things i went on a i walked 15 miles one day with the watch um i.

Went to a gym because i usually work at home went to a gym did a row machine worked out with the equipment there and uh you know used it to see how it worked you know in a regular environment versus what i normally do so i try to test this watch completely i swam in it swim some laps.

In it i actually went mountain biking in it to test that and check it and it actually gives you a map of your location how far you went and all that kind of stuff your speed i mean just everything fitness thing kills it technically kills it about the sleep tracking for a.

Moment is probably the best sleep tracking i've seen now with the apple watch i try to do sleep training but obviously you got to charge it almost every day so it's hard to sleep with it because then it's dead the next day the thing about this watch is the sleep tracking is is amazing it has charts it.

Shows like your pulse socks like one night i didn't get i wasn't breathing well this particular night for some reason like maybe i was sleeping on my face i don't know but i felt like crap the next day and then i you know it's a direct correlation it shows between how much air i was in taking.

Based on how much deep or rem sleep i had um so with this you can track and the rest is such an important crucial thing to your recovery with fitness you know and this will tell you based off how much sleep how much activity you can really put out during the day like let's say this one day i.

Had a very intense workout and my body battery dropped tremendously and i could tell the watch was accurate i felt like you know just beat down the rest of the day because i did not get enough recovery time so or enough rest to get the recovery so a crucial piece of kit for for fitness a.

Crucial piece of kit for outdoor activities i mean i would run this over gps now i mean for unless i was like truly navigating where i need maps and i need my big garmin uh that you know has maps and overlays and that stuff for top topographic information because you're not going to have that on here but generally just mountain biking and stuff.

Like that rocking i'm going to just run with this watch so i think this is a very good looking watch it you know i like tactical looking things obviously i like olive drab i do like the coyote better comfort wise this watch feels like.

Nothing it is very lightweight and the most colorful stripe that i've ever felt in my life truthfully all the widgets all the buttons can be configured how you want it the look of the watch the data you want up front can all be configured how you want it and on the inside you can charge it um.

Just by plugging in something you see the sensors here but extremely lightweight watch most comfortable band on the planet extremely good looking piece and to me for anyone who's doing survival living the tactical prepared.

Citizen lifestyle this would be a watch to have i think hands down probably one of the better ones i do like analog watches i love analog watches i love automatic watches but for digital smart watch this is probably top of the line now going.

Forward i will check out the tactics which is the higher end version that has the colored screen and things like that to see how it compares with this one and any other recommendations you guys have below just let me know hit me up and let me know what you'd like to see like i said we're going to do.

Watches all across the spectrum from you know 50 up to thousands of dollars you know maybe automatic military style pilot watches dive watches things like that so don't get upset because we'll have something in your price range we already have some that we've done before you know.

Various models that you can go back and check and i'll put the links to those videos below so you can check them out very good quality watches and that's what we're trying to do because you know not everybody's situation is the same maybe this is something that you don't really need you know um maybe you're more into an office.

Environment where you need a analog watch you know and there's very capable watches all across it but if you're wanting fitness and data tracking things like that if you're wanting uh you know outdoor stuff you know kayaking biking things like that this would be the watch for you so.
